The African Director of the Association of World Peace Advocates IAWPA has told journalists in Abuja that the association will be exploring ways of finding a long lasting peace in Sudan.

Recall that the East African country has been embroiled in a a war that has destroyed properties and left to the death of of thousands of persons.

Amb. John Metchie who has been a pivot in the promotion of peace Initiatives in the African continent, said the Sudan crisis is of utmost interest to the association.

He said the association is reaching out to it’s members who can be of help to resolving the crisis so as to constitute a committee that will reach out to the warring partners. He said it is hopeful that it’s initiative will be appreciated by the warring parties and African leaders.
